When we first got into goats "Frosty Marvin" and Smooth Operator" were names we heard alot. I got to see a "Smooth" udder at the Amarillo Tri-State fair in 2011 and was very impressed. I was lucky enough to be able to find some Smooth semen in 2012-13 and wanted to try it out. So we AI'd Thelma and Jane and got them bred with a single straw each !!!
We decided to retain does from each breeding. Excite is like her dam Thelma, powerful but super dairy. Excite is milking well, giving us the kind of milk production that we expected from Smooth Operator. She acheived her star by 185 days and still milked 9#s that day. She will be milking thru 2016-17.
