When we first got into goats "Frosty Marvin" and "Smooth Operator" were names we heard alot. I got to see a "Smooth" udder at the Amarillo Tri-State fair in 2011 and was very impressed. I was lucky enough to be able to find some Smooth semen in 2012-13 and wanted to try it out. So we AI'd Thelma and Jane and got them bred with a single straw each!
We decided to retain does from each breeding. Esther has not been a disappointment, As a junior she has shown twice, getting Grand Champion and her Junior Leg in a very competitive junior show of 55 nubians! She was bred to Honor (our Dandy Supreme son) producing Jolie, (soon to hit the show ring). She earned her second leg as a second freshener, and placed reserve a number of times in a year where we had many exceptional does competing in our local shows. She looked fabulous at the 2017 ADGA National, show placing 8th in her class. In 2018 she finished her CH and was 16th at the 2018 ADGA National show in a very competitive class.
