We used American Idol as one of our first AI's to produce GCH Captain America +*B LA90 (VEE). He has been hugely influential in our herd. DejaVu is one of several daughters he has given us that have LA'd 90 and have achieved their championships. It only made sense to take one of the Captain's best daughters back to her grandfather Idol. AI resulted in a buck (Leader) and a does (Liberty)...both keepers before they were even born ! Leader has been exciting to watch mature and this is the first year we will see mammaries on his daughters! We were also surprised to see that Paige carries a "double S" for scrapie resistance...We knew that Leader carries an "S" but this means that News Flash also carries an "S" allele for Scrapie resistance.
