Marmalade combines our Jane/Royal Marcus line with our Lightning line...Line breeding on Jane (as mother and great grandmother)...and you can tell we love our white/almost white goats !!! She was a bit more orange as baby, hence the name "Marmalade".
This little girl is quite a "looker" and we were very excited to see her mammary as she was Legacy's first daughter to freshen here. We lost Jane in 2017, and are so hopeful that Marmalade will carry on Jane's genetics here at Latte Da. She milk thru on her first lactation, got an LA score of 88 despite being "stale" and had her 2nd freshening in 2020. Sadly, there weren't alot of shows to go to in 2020. We milked through in 2021 and then missed settling her with several AI attempts.
