Over the years Spot has been stingy with doe kids...We felt incredibly blessed that Spot gave us a single doe kid in 2017. Spot was our very first goat to earn a final and permanent Linear Appraisal score of 92. Given her age in 2017 (11 years)...we knew this was going to be her last kidding. She breezed through it like a champ.
We can definitely see improvements that the sire (Solan) has made, especially in the smoothness of blending of neck and shoulders on a doe like Spot who is nearly perfect in every other way ! Jing survived a bobcat attack as a 8 week old kid, thanks to our extremely protective (and fence jumping) Akbash Phaedra. She still has the white scars to prove it around her head and neck. She has given us 2 doe kids in 2022, one of which will be retained.
